An anthotype is an image created using photosensitive material from plants under the influence of light (e.g. UV light, rays of sun). They will naturally fade over time.
Members of the Mayfly Poetry Group have prepared an initial exhibit of work on the theme of the ‘vanishing world’. On the first day of the exhibition, these pieces will be made into anthotypes and put out in the Mayfly garden for the sun to do its bit.
The poems will fade over the course of the exhibitions, we invite you to read and photograph them before they disappear. There will also be an opportunity to create anthotypes of your own poems and so add to the exhibition.
