Beach Labyrinths are ancient Celtic and Christian Contemplation circles, used for prayer, reflection and seeking. Unlike a maze, where you walk to get lost, Labyrinths lead you on a winding path to the centre for pause, clarity and connection with God, and then back out again into the world.
Lowestoft Beach Labyrinths are made in the liminal space at low tide. We begin with pause, and grounding, and introduce an optional theme for reflection. There is then space to walk the Labyrinth at your pace. We close with refreshments and a sharing circle.
Labyrinths are for all ages, beliefs and backgrounds – simply come with an openness to explore and receive.
Where: The Labyrinth is at the shore line between the Hatfield Hotel and the Claremont Pier, most easily accessible from the Pier slope or the Waterloo Road steps.
When: 4.30pm, Saturday 10th October
Things to note: Please bring your own cup for refreshments, and a chair unless you’re happy to sit on sand. Dress for outdoor October weather. If it’s raining we will cancel. Please bring £4 cash.
