Victorian pharmacists worked on the edge of modern medicine at a time when science and emerging medical research were rapidly changing. In our shop, which was once a Victorian Pharmacy, we will have a display showing how Victorian pharmacists were often working ‘On the Edge’ as they mixed medicines by hand relying on emerging science and using ingredients that today we would consider powerful or dangerous.
